Experienced Engineer: – The job role will encompass all aspects of project management of two exciting new Bugatti restorations. Machine skills required as well as an excellent understanding of what it takes to assemble the detailed components in a thoughbred vintage car. I would expect 10yrs of restoration history and/or a degree in an engineering related subject as a minimum. Much more on offer for the right candidate than just another garage job.
Apprentice Engineer: – A hands on role for a bright young thing. Model making, road and racecar prep or similar. This is a mechanic’s role with training opportunities in-house and from part-time courses where relevant. Working as part of a small team this is not a short-term position. Just like an old school apprenticeship it takes time for the knowledge and confidence to grow .
